Project and Editorial Principles
China Power Archive is an independent public-interest historical and documentary project.
The site examines political power, historical events, policies and their consequences through publicly available documents, archival materials, historical research and other attributable sources.
Where reasonably possible, we distinguish between documented fact, historical interpretation, allegation, disputed claim and editorial conclusion. Historical and political claims should be assessed against the cited evidence and sources.
The inclusion of a source, quotation, image or historical document does not necessarily constitute endorsement of the views expressed in that material.
Copyright
Copyright © China Power Archive. Unless otherwise stated, original editorial text and site design are protected by copyright.
Third-party photographs, documents, quotations, archival materials and audiovisual works remain the property of their respective rights holders and are identified or attributed where reasonably possible.
Materials are used according to their stated licences, public-domain status, permission, or other applicable legal basis. If you are a rights holder and believe material has been incorrectly attributed or used, please contact the site for review.
Third-party Material
China Power Archive may reproduce limited extracts from third-party works for purposes such as criticism, review, quotation, reporting current events, research, education and public-interest analysis.
Where applicable, such use is intended to comply with relevant provisions of UK copyright law, including applicable fair-dealing exceptions. We aim, where reasonably practicable, to identify the source and provide sufficient acknowledgement.
The presence of third-party material does not imply endorsement by, or affiliation with, the relevant rights holder.
Copyright Concerns
If you are a rights holder and believe that material on this website has been used incorrectly, please contact us and identify:
- the material concerned;
- the page on which it appears;
- your relationship to the work or relevant rights; and
- the nature of your concern.
We will review reasonable copyright complaints and, where appropriate, correct attribution, restrict access to, or remove the material.
Disclaimer
The material on China Power Archive is provided for informational, educational, historical and research purposes.
Although reasonable efforts are made to verify information and identify sources, we do not guarantee that every item is complete, error-free or current.
Historical records, political documents, news reports, public statements and other sources may contain errors, incomplete information, propaganda, conflicting accounts or later revisions.
For disputed or insufficiently verified matters, the website aims to distinguish verifiable facts, claims made by sources, contested material and our own analysis in accordance with its editorial methodology. Readers should consult original materials and multiple independent sources whenever possible.
Nothing on this website constitutes legal, financial or other professional advice.
Corrections
We welcome documented corrections. Where a material factual error is established, the relevant page should be corrected and, where appropriate, the change recorded.
Accuracy is more important to this project than defending an earlier version of an article. Significant corrections should, where appropriate, be recorded transparently rather than silently altering the historical record.

External links are provided primarily for reference and source verification.

A link should not be interpreted as endorsement of the linked organisation or all views expressed on that website.
