07 / SOURCES

Where did this material come from?

This page indexes public sources already registered by the project. It tells readers where material was found; it does not automatically turn every claim inside a source into a fact.

Source types

Primary / original material

Public statements, original video, audio, transcripts or a publisher’s original page.

Official documents

Formal public records from governments, legislatures, courts or international bodies.

Contemporary reporting

Reporting and interviews published at or near the time of an event.

Later reporting / analysis

Later reporting, research briefs and analytical material.

Archive / mirror

Preserved or republished material whose distance from an original source should be stated.

Project research notes

Internal registration and verification notes; these do not replace original material.

First source entries

These entries are reused from the project’s existing topic and research records. Their status describes source type and use, not the truth of every claim they contain.

Source boundary

The existence of a source does not prove every claim contained in that source. Video can establish that a video is publicly available; reporting can establish that a publication made a report; an official response can establish that a response was publicly issued. Broader claims still need comparison, context and independent evidence.
