0201 / BGY
In this circulating narrative, “Blue” refers to online surveillance, cyberattacks, and control of information and public opinion.
“Gold” refers to building influence and dependency through money, commercial interests, investment, and exchanges of benefit.
“Yellow” refers to using sex, sexual or private relationships to control or coerce targeted people.
CORE QUESTION
What may matter most for an ordinary reader is not merely the three terms, but the idea of power that they express: influencing someone may not require an open order. Money, information, relationships, privacy, and interests can all become tools through which power crosses borders.

03 / CROSS-READING
These concepts are connected in public circulation; their claims and materials should still be read separately.
03 / AN EXPLANATORY LAYER
The three terms describe three different points of human entry. “Blue” concerns what someone sees, believes, and what others know about them. “Gold” concerns interests. “Yellow” concerns desire, privacy, and vulnerability. Together, this narrative advances an idea: controlling someone need not mean ordering them. Influencing their information, interests, or private vulnerabilities may be enough to change their behaviour.
In the networked age, information itself becomes part of power. Who can access data? Who can see private communications? Who decides what is amplified or hidden? Who can use networks to map relationships? These questions make “Blue” the most immediately legible part of the concept for modern readers.
Money does not operate only through direct payment. Business opportunities, investment, market access, jobs, contracts, partnerships, and future gains can all shape choices by people and institutions. The core question in “Gold” is not simply giving money, but whether a person can remain fully independent as their interests become reliant on a relationship.
“Yellow” is the most personal of the three concepts. Related circulation places sexual relationships, private life, privacy, and material that might damage reputation in this category. Its core logic is that the more important a person's public role, the more they may fear disclosure of private information.
“To influence a country, must you control that country first—or only those able to make consequential decisions?”
RELATIONSHIP MAP
This organises the internal logic of related circulation; it is not authentication of the three concepts.
PERSON
A Chinese businessman who later lived in the United States. From 2017 onward, he used YouTube, Twitter, press conferences and livestreams to make extensive political allegations. BGY, 3F and the later 13579 narrative became closely associated with his public communications.
He is included here as a prominent source and promoter of these allegations.
SPREAD TIMELINE
BGY began circulating through Guo Wengui's livestreams and overseas Chinese online networks.
BGY and 3F entered a public press event and media reporting together.
“BGY” gradually became a political term in some overseas Chinese discussions, used to interpret commercial, political, media, and personal relationships.
A political concept does not need to enter textbooks first. It may appear in a livestream, move into social media, then news reporting, and finally become a term people use without explanation.
LIVE ↓ SOCIAL MEDIA ↓ NEWS ↓ POLITICAL LANGUAGEMEDIA OF CIRCULATION
Long livestreams allow complex political narratives to be told continuously and explained repeatedly.
Video platforms allow broadcasts to be preserved, clipped, reposted, and circulated over time.
Short text, screenshots, clips, and reposts turn complex concepts into memorable, portable keywords.
Press events and news coverage carry claims that originated in networked communities into wider public discussion.
